HOT!!!
Icky, sticky, sweaty heat.
Perspiration in my feet.
Coats of muck and pants of mire.
My back feels like it's on fire!
Take off my hat to wipe my face.
Put on my hat to shield and chase
the sun away. Today has no relief!
The poker rod is glowing red.
And rubber feels like gooey lead.
It's hot as hell! And he is laughing,
"Ha, ha, ha!" at me.
The shade today is on strike.
It's long grey shadow is sleep till night.
